About Hot Tub Holidays
Hot Tub Holidays is a proudly family-run business based in Cape Town, South Africa, born from a simple idea: finding great places to soak in a hot tub.
The idea came up while planning our own weekend escapes. We realised how frustrating it was to dig through dozens of booking sites and images just to answer one burning question: “Does it have a hot tub?” That’s when we knew there had to be a better, simpler, and much warmer way to help people discover unforgettable stays.
So we rolled up our sleeves to create Hot Tub Holidays, a dedicated platform that makes it easy for you to find beautiful, unique accommodation across South Africa with the steamy star of the show: the hot tub.
Built by locals, run by family, made for you
We’re not a giant booking engine. We’re a small, passionate team (and family) with deep roots in South African travel and tech. When you support Hot Tub Holidays, you’re not just booking a getaway, you’re supporting a local family who genuinely loves helping others unwind and recharge.
We’re constantly improving the site, adding more places to soak, refining our listings, and keeping things fresh, because your next escape should feel effortless from the first click to the last ripple.
Meet the Team
Simon is a web developer and digital strategist with over 15 years of experience in the South African tourism industry. He’s worked with lodges, B&Bs, guesthouses, and boutique hotels across the country helping them elevate their online presence through UX design, SEO, marketing, and photography. He’s a lifelong lover of the African bush, having explored nearly every national park and stayed in some of the most iconic lodges.
Theresa, his wife and co-founder, is also a talented developer and the calm to his code. She’s happiest with a glass of wine in one hand and her feet soaking in a hot tub. Together, they’ve blended their love of travel, nature, design, and good old-fashioned hospitality into a site that’s built with care, creativity, and a whole lot of warmth.
